Workshop 1:
Reading , sharing and creating innovative documents using Word
Processing Techniques in Microsoft Word 2003
This workshop focuses on how to use a word processor
to write and revise a variety of personal and business
documents. Participants will begin by drafting and editing
simple word documents, soon graduating to the use of templates
and techniques for sophisticated formatting. Later sessions will
address the larger issues of a document design and the
participants will learn to work with page margins, paragraph
indenting and spacing, tab setting, page numbering, page setup,
and headers and footers. Participants will also learn how
graphics are incorporated in word documents as well as how to
add columns, and work with tables.
Workshop 2:
Developing effective Business Presentations using Microsoft
PowerPoint 2003
The workshop based on PowerPoint Presentations will
allow the participants to learn everything they need to know
on how to put together persuasive electronic presentations,
from creating basic slide shows to adding graphics, video
and audio to rich multimedia presentations. The early
sessions will have the participants creating, editing and
formatting their own first presentations. Participants will
then develop skills to work with PowerPoint design templates
and slide masters. Next, they will learn how to enrich their
slide show presentations with graphics, animation, sounds,
video clips, and various automated features. Finally, they
will develop a know-how of various techniques for working
collaboratively with PowerPoint presentations.
Workshop 3:
Effectively turning data into information using Microsoft
Excel 2003
Excel 2003 can help individuals work better in
teams, and help protect and control one's access to work.
The workshop on Spreadsheet teaches the basic spreadsheet
concepts, which includes creating worksheets, editing data
and building charts. In early lessons participants will
create, edit and print worksheets, and will soon be learning
how to format rows, columns and cells. They will gain
expertise with margins, page breaks, and various print
options. They will also learn to hide and unhide data, add
and delete worksheets in a workbook. In later sessions, they
will perform basic excel calculations with formulas and
functions.
Workshop 4:
Analyzing, communicating and sharing results using Microsoft
Excel 2003 Advance Features
This workshop is designed for the participants who
have prior knowledge of MS Excel but also want to get
acquainted with the advance features. This workshop will
enable those participants to work with workbooks, linking
worksheets and workbooks together, importing and exporting
data, using filters, advance formulas, creating lists and
using Macros.
Workshop 5:
Organizing and accessing information using Microsoft Access
2003
This workshop will introduce the basics of using a
relational database to create tables and write SQL queries.
Participants will begin by learning basic database concepts
and will soon be creating their own database tables with MS
Access 2003. They will learn how to edit and modify tables,
as well as how to organize and store information in those
tables. Participants will also get a chance to build on this
foundation to create and run queries, specify criteria,
create calculated fields, and create multiple table queries.
Workshop 6:
Managing information, communicating with others, and
organizing work, all together from the same location using
Microsoft Outlook 2003
This workshop will enable the participants to
configure their email accounts and to read, reply and
forward messages. They will also learn how to store contact
information and how to use outlook calendar to track their
meetings, tasks and appointments. Although many people have
grown accustomed to these organizational approaches,
Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 provides a better way to
store, track, and integrate business and personal
information. With Outlook, you can store and access
important information in a single location on a personal
computer. For example, one can use Outlook's electronic
calendar to record meetings and appointment dates and times.
Prerequisites:
Participants should have basic computer know-how and
should be aware of Microsoft Windows XP Environment.
Duration:
Each workshop will cover one full day of training
(9:30 AM ~ 5:30 PM) divided in four sessions:
Session 1: 09:30 AM ~ 11:00 AM 1 ½ hr
Tea Break 11:00 AM ~ 11:30 AM
Session 2: 11:30 AM ~ 01:00 PM 1 ½ hr
Lunch Break 01:00 PM ~ 02:00 PM
Session 3: 02:00 PM ~ 03:30 PM 1 ½ hr
Tea Break 03:30 PM ~ 04:00 PM
Session 4: 04:00 PM ~ 05:30 PM 1 ½ hr
